Wilson Olivera is a composer and singer in Konkani. Born in Padukone in Karnataka, in 1966, he started his singing career at the age of sixteen. He has given over 50 musical shows and published seven music albums. He has composed more than 800 songs in Konkani.
Having rendered momentous lyrics and melodious music, he is conferred with titles of ‘Sangeeth Sardar’ and ‘Konkan Manik’. He is also the recipient of prestigious awards like 'Konkani Kala Samaj Puraskar' in 1995, 'Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Award' in 2003, 'Divo Sahitya Puraskar' in 2008, 'Konkani Surdas Puraskar' in 2009 and 'Sandesha Award' in 2018. .* (Collected from the public domain)
