Rev. Dr Casimir Raj, SJ was born on 11th May 1939 at Thooval Savariarpattanam, Ramnad District in Tamil Nadu. He specializes in Business Administration.
Young Casimir Raj proceeded to complete his religious studies. After ordination, he went to Santa Clara University, California to do M.B.A. Later, he went to St. Louis University, Missouri for his Ph.D.
Fr. Casimir Raj was the Director of Loyola Hostel, Rector, and Principal of Loyola College. In 1979, he started the LIBA. He is said to have made significant contributions as founder of the Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) and developed the institution from 53rd position to 9th position at the national level during his leadership. As the Director of the Xavier Institute of Management, he promoted rural development. He started a project called “Education for all” in Keonjar District, Orissa, and started a Rural Management course. As the Director of Xavier Labour Relations Institute(XLRI), Jamshedpur he promoted XLRI at the world level. He started the Executive Fellowship Programmes. He got the third rank in India consistently.
