Regina Cassandra is an Indian actress who primarily works in Telugu and Tamil films. Cassandra is a recipient of the South Indian International Movie Award and CineMAA Award. She made her acting debut in a supporting role with the Tamil film Kanda Naal Mudhal in 2005 and made her Telugu film debut with Siva Manasulo Sruthi in 2012, for which she won the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Telugu. She made her Hindi film debut with Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga in 2019.
Cassandra was born on 13 December 1990 in Madras in a Tamil family. She was nine years old when she started anchoring for Splash, a kids' channel. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Women's Christian College, Chennai, and did Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Madras.
She initially worked in successful films including Routine Love Story, Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, Power, and Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham. She received the SIIMA Award for Best Actress – Telugu nomination for Jyo Achyutananda. Cassandra received the SIIMA Award for Best Actress in a Negative Role nomination for her portrayal of a businesswoman in Evaru. She also starred in the series Rocket Boys, for which she received a Filmfare OTT Best Supporting Actor – Female nomination. Cassandra is a celebrity endorser for several brands and products. Cassandra has also worked for many causes. In 2014, she walked the ramp for the "Teach for Change" charity show. She has participated in People For Cattle in India's "Water Bowl Challenge", as its campaign ambassador in 2021. She also supports organic farming.
