Duming Dias was originally from Honavar and was serving in the Shimoga Diocese. Later he was elevated to the position of Monsignor. Msgr Duming Dias was consecrated as the new bishop of the Diocese of Karwar on April 9th, 2024 at St Joseph's High School Ground, Kodibag Road, Kajubag, Karwar.
