Jesudas M. Athyal is a visiting researcher at the Center for Global Christianity & Mission, Boston University School of Theology.
He is the past president of the New England & Maritimes Region of the American Academy of Religion(NEMAAR). He is the editor of Religion in Southeast Asia: An Encyclopedia of Faiths and Cultures and the associate editor of Oxford Encyclopedia of South Asian Christianity (Oxford University Press, 2012). He served earlier as an assistant professor of Dalit theology and social analysis at the Gurukul Lutheran Theological College, in Chennai, India. He has authored and edited several books.
