Dr. Ronald Anil Fernandes is a member of the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC). He is a senior journalist, activist, scholar, and teacher of journalism. He was the recipient of the Sarojini Naidu Award, the Media Academy Award, the Dakshina Kannada district Rajyotsva award, and served for the Deccan Herald for two decades as the bureau chief of Deccan Herald Mangaluru. The Indian Catholic Press Association (ICPA) conferred the Fr. Luis Carreno Award (2011) to him.
He has earlier worked in Bengaluru and Chennai as a reporter. He has served as the president of the Mangaluru Press Club too. He is an alumnus of Mangalore University.
