Dr Prateep V. Philip IPS started his career as a bank officer through merit and focus, rose as a servant of the public through his IPS qualification, and has risen to the position of Director, of Tamil Nadu Police Academy.
Mr. Prateep, as Assistant SP, had miraculously survived the human bomb blast on that fateful night in Sriperumbudur on May 21, 1991, where Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated. Philip, a native of Bengaluru has an MA in political science and is also a doctorate holder.
