Dr Cyprian Monteiro, who hails from Iruvail near Moodabidri is the Director of the Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of Karnataka.
He received his early education at Swami Vivekananda College, Edapadav, and Davala College, Moodabidri. He earned his PhD from Mangalore University. Dr Monteiro has served as a Headmaster. In 2014 he was promoted to be the Deputy Director of Public Instruction (Development) and Principal of Education College at Mangalore. Later on, he was promoted to be the Principal of Government B.Ed College as well as Assistant Director of Public Instructions. He is also a motivational speaker. (Collected from the public domain.)
