Charles Gomes, hailing from Shirva, a village near Udupi, served in the Pharma Industry in various capacities in the field of Research, Production, and International marketing. He was the head of International Marketing at Hikal Ltd before taking a plunge into his own business. He founded his own company, CAD Pharma Inc, an Import-export company, and later founded Lint Pharmaceuticals LLP which has its own brands of medicines in the market. Having more than 30 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical field, he is also active in many social organizations. He was the President of organizations like the Konkan Catholic Association, Bangalore, Rotary Club, and Arekere. Besides this, he was the Chairman of the Federation of Konkani Catholic Association which is an umbrella organization of 35 Associations globally, and also the Vice President of Tuluverenkulu, a Tulu organization. He was also the founder and President of KE, Bangalore.
