A.J. Philip,a native of Kayamkulam, Kerala but lived in New Delhi. He is a senior journalist who has held high positions in mainstream newspapers like The Tribune, the Indian Express and the Hindustan Times. He has written numerous editorials and thousands of articles and book reviews.
He was the first director of Pratichi (India) Trust, founded by Nobel-laureate Amartya Sen. He was a member of the Assessment and Monitoring Authority of the Planning Commission of the Government of India. He has been associated with Deepalaya (a NGO working for children) for over two decades as a member of the Executive Committee and President.
He was also Vice President of the Kerala Club, New Delhi. His familiar face in Malayalam Channel debates from New Delhi and his stint reading Malayalam news for All India Radio (AIR) showcase his versatility in the field. (Collected from the public domain)
