Monsignor Rev. Leslie F. Shenoy is a renowned philanthropist in the Mangalore Diocese area, supporting many students through his scholarships. He has also contributed financially to community development with his generous grants.

Monsignor Shenoy comes from Urwa Parish in the Mangalore Diocese. He was ordained a priest for the Calcutta Archdiocese in May 1976. While serving the FABC (Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences, a voluntary association of Catholic bishops in Asia), he made his first visit to the United States in 1979. In 1985, he became an American citizen. He served in three parishes, which also had air bases, in the Diocese of Fresno, California. He was elevated to the rank of Prelate of Honor by Pope John Paul II. 

Monsignor Shenoy had his early education at Canara High School and later on a Master’s from Calcutta University.  He is also an alumnus of California State University, Fresno.
