Roshan Jacob is a prominent IAS officer, who hails Kerala. A 2004 batch officer, she began her adventure in the Indian Administrative Service with the willpower to create impactful modifications in governance and administration. One of the early highlights of her career was her tenure in Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh, in which she was lauded for streamlining the LPG distribution gadget in 2013. In 2017, Roshan Jacob broke new ground by becoming the first lady director of the Uttar Pradesh Mining Department. Under her management, the branch noticed numerous reforms geared toward curtailing illegal mining activities and ensuring sustainable mining practices.
Born and raised in Trivandrum, Kerala, she attended Sarvodaya Vidyalaya for her early training. She pursued her undergraduate studies at the Government College for Women in Trivandrum.
