Dr. Clara A.B. Joseph is a faculty member at the University of Calgary. She specializes in postcolonial studies and has taught South Asian Religion, Literature, Culture, Christianity, and Literary and cultural theory. Her other interests are Poetry, Fiction, and Nonfiction Prose.
She pursued her post-graduate studies at the University of Toronto. Her PhD is from York University. She has published three volumes of poetry – The Face of the Other (A Long Poem) (Brisbane: IP, 2016), Dandelions for Bhabha (Brisbane: IP, 2018), and M/OTHER (Oregon: Wipf and Stock Publishers, 2024). Her recent monographs are Christianity in India: The Anti-colonial Turn (Routledge, 2019) and India's Nonviolent Freedom Struggle: The Thomas Christians (1599-1799) (Routledge, 2024).
