Basil Joseph is an Indian film actor and director who works in the Malayalam film industry. He began his film career as an assistant director for the film Thira. To date, he has directed three films: Kunjiramayanam, Godha, and Minnal Murali.
He acted in the short film CET Life while attending the College of Engineering in Trivandrum. He also wrote and directed the short films "Oru Thundu Padam " and "Priyamvadha Katharayano" during his tenure as a Systems Engineer in Trivandrum. He made his acting debut in the Malayalam film "Up & Down: Mukalil Oralundu" in 2013.
He made his directorial debut in 2015 with "Kunjiramayanam". His second directorial venture was the sports comedy "Godha". His third movie, "Minnal Murali", was released on Netflix in 2021 and premiered simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
He was born in Sultan Bathery in Wayanad district of Kerala, India, in April 1989. He married Elizabeth in 2017. They have one daughter.
