Ashford Menezes is a Goan-origin filmmaker based in Coventry, UK. Lately, three of his works were officially selected for major UK film festivals. God is Good – Ashford’s debut short film, created in Dubai in 2015, will screen at the Sheffield Christian Film & Media Festival in October 2025. Echoes of Truth – An ongoing video series blending scripture-inspired reflections with poetic visuals, has also been selected. Scams Unmasked – A documentary-style series turning real-life fraud cases into cinematic narratives, has been nominated for Best Online Content, the Audience Award, and the prestigious Bull Award at the Birmingham Film Festival.
His filmmaking journey began in Goa, where he co-produced the Konkani video film Ghutt in association with C Alvares Films in 2007. He also worked in Bollywood, contributing to films, television shows, and web content before moving to the UK. Though based in Coventry, he said he was proud of his Goan roots, which would continue to shape his creative identity and worldview.
